Everyone born with a talent. Achilles was born to kill, that’s his Talent . Pastor's are born to Preach; Army to Fight for their country, and maybe Politician to Lie but everyone are born to die. So as my niece, Evangelyn Chongliankimi, passed away recently on December 12, 2009. She was just 11 months old, she came to our lives with her innocent, obedient and sweet smile which always stays in our hearts; and yes, to teach us what life is! As her uncle JK always said, "She came for a mission on this earth..a mission of God. She came to our lives, to teach us, to let us know the kind of love we should share, the innocent, the obedience, the faithfulness, the pure heartedness, the beauty which she had inside her, reminds us the purpose in life, and the way we should live life and most importantly, Life depends on God's Will". During her short life, she touched the hearts of many, the message of love spreads to us even since then. The message is “A Simple Love” simple but touching. Well, that was in her because it was a mission given to her. She had completed her mission without mistake…Or should I say it was her talent, or she was born for this.
Do you believe most of the talent comes with birth. There is a saying in Mizo,that at the time of birth, a baby coming out with his/her leg first from his/her mother’s womb, will have a talent of healing people by massaging. But some talents can acquired too - by practicing, hobbies, interest or whatever the reason may be; what I’m trying to say here is that, if a person have the feelings to do something or to be someone, he/she can become expert by practice, or get to have a talent in a field he is not born with. For example, an army personal, whose job is to kill (enemies) could change his mind treating injured person in the battle field, maybe because of the situation or may be he is interested. He starts studying about medicine, a way of treating people etc etc…. I’m talking about the basic things here. If he feels that treating the person who needs help, makes him feel a better person, there’s a new talent he discovered. Or if he is still young or have time, may be he still can start off with an MBBS entrance exam… I’m not talking about who’s becoming what’s here, I’m just saying what a person can become.
Why should one say he cannot do this or that because he is not born with it. I have a very close friend who always says, ‘I’m born with it so I’m expert in this, or I’m not born with it so I cannot do this”, I think I should dedicate this post to you , Well I want to tell you this, ‘there is nothing a person cannot do if he really wants,.. or if a situation compels or whatever …’. Yes but if he really don’t want to do it, it will never be done.. A drunkard is not born drunk, And so is a smoker… Just imagine a baby –newly born,coming out with a marijuana in hand…red eye…puffing and making a ring out of the smoke…or holding a bottle of JOHNY WALKER ,boosting around ,shouting, “I WANT MORE”

Personally not interested at all in writing, One thing ,not for me is to write stuff, I once tried to write an article in a Mizo magazine , I came up with many topics like ‘Mizo and Computers’, ‘ Christianity and Mizo’, ‘Mizo Staying outside Mizoram’, ‘21st century Mizo’ etc ..but I coud not pen my thoughts down immediately to compile an article ,but at least I did try hard..and only topics were not allow to publish in the magazine….
Here I am today, writing my first ever article in life and that too,publishing for the world to see.I’m not saying I’l be an expert or I’l become a good writer,I know I can never become one,just doing this…Even though I’m not sure why or what ,but one thing is for sure –Writing is not a talent I was born with…..
